The first step in building a new relationship is the ability to provide estimates for new projects in both local and national markets. Our ability to acquire qualified and experienced subcontractors and suppliers, capable of completing the project provides our clients with the security of dealing with us throughout the United States.
Estimators
Prodigy dedicates an individual estimator to each of our projects. This individual dedication allows for accountability and control of the bidding process. You, the client, have one person that you can depend on to answer questions or direct updated information too.
We have worked to develop our estimating team by taking comments from our Project Managers, Site Managers and most important, our clients. We have addressed those comments by putting in place procedures so that each project has a process it goes through from the time the plans are delivered, to the bid and finally the project turnover.
Listing
An important part of the bidding process is developing a listing for each and every aspect of the project. This enables us to understand all associated cost and needs to properly bid and ultimately build each project.
Procurement
Procurement of subcontractor bids is made by using our core group of traveling subcontractors as well as local companies for MEP work. Our rule of three minimum bids per phase insures that high and low prices are qualified and that cost savings for the client is optimized. Upon receiving the subcontractor bids the estimator meets with our Senior Estimator to compile the project listing, review any last subcontractor questions and finally develop your bid.
At Prodigy, when we put together an estimate and look for subcontractors, it’s not about finding “a” sub, it’s about finding the “right” sub.
